Cousin Emma at the Perkins House

Emma has been a wounderful little girl while spending time with us while little sammi been in primary children hospital.

Emma is a delightful angel that has a wounderful personality to get along with anyone around her, we have enjoyed having her with us. Emma has had alot of fun on the farm with our family. She loved the little puppy's over at my my mom's. Emma and Emily had played so hard on the first day with us that Emma and Emily took a 5 clock nap and still made it too bed a little after 10 a clock.
Emma wanted Gloria to be right next to her all through the evening, and Emily would get a little jelous at times and would call Sister to try to get Gloria to come to her attention. Emma didnt want to get her p.J's on until Gloiria got her on then she put her right on for Gloria.

Emma helped feed the cows along with alot of cousin, she also feed the pigs. Emma has enjoyed playing with the cats and dogs she calls for the puppy and walks the house looking for them.

Emma and Emily has played on the BIG white board in the hall for hours wearing out the markers.

Emma played outside with all the crazy cousin just loving her and also taking care of her at all times.
I think that my kids thought they were having a party in the family room because they all wanted to sleep with Emma.
Emma wanted to go out side to talk to see what was going on, then she decided it was ok to talk to her mommy and Daddy on the Cell Phone.

Emma stayed very busy playing hard while she stayed with us for 3 weeks. We took her out to eat at Hollow Moon along with 8 other children and my sister call me crazy "YES" but totally worth the time and money.

We took her on mom 2nd and 3rd grade bike hike that she dose every year. We had lots of fun their was mom and Gloria of course and Bryan, Julie, Emily, Emma, Carolyn, Ted, Carson, Nick, Mica, Kelly, Jenifer, Kruz, Kolby, and David.

We also had Kruz and Kolby Birthday party, she stayed very close to her grandma she finally warmed up to me after a little bit.
We also picked her up from mom's house on saturday before Easter and took her to stewarts to have a Easter Egg hunt, carolyn and her kids also came along.
Emma came down to the school with david to watch the kids program and she wouldnt have any thing to do with me becuse she had her grandma perkins instead.

Emma dosent like it when I go and see grandma and grandpa and wont let her stay on school nights with them.

Perkins Family

Well we been doing really well as a family and very busy. As a family we earned a family award in cub scouts all the kids recived the patch they thought that was really neat.

Bryan in the paramedic course and spends alot of time doing school and been to weber state twice. He's also been verrrrry busy with the military, they cant make up their mind when they are going to delpoy them.

Julie has been busy with cub scouting, I love my jobs and also enjoy my boys that I teach, I am going to miss my son that I've been teaching as a BEAR he goes out in april. I am the Den Leader for the BEARS and I also on the POW-WOW Comittee and I also going to go back to Akela Council 25 this year as a staff member. I am still working at Hollow Moon just not as many hours with less business. I recived my Akela Council pin om March 21st it has taken 7 months to get my treatys done.
The kids have been doing really well in school, zack been doing awsome on his reading and math. Gloria been getting 100% on her spelling test for the last two months. Ben just enjoys going to school and he is a smart little bug, he very creative with his reading ask grandma perkins about her ABC book that he read.

Zack did the history fair this year with his cousin Brevan Nielsen, they did it on Robert Baden Powell. They did really well on it a the school fair they recived 1st, They were able to go to district also. He also played in a basketball tourament in myton, he did pretty good for his first time playing. I think he was more excited about earning a basketball belt loop.

Gloria been playing the guitar scence september she's been ding pretty good she going to play in the school talent show coming up in April but she's really nervse about playing in front of alot of people.

Ben loves to some what sing taylor Swift to the song that a picture to burn he going to do it for the talent show in April it's going to be fun just watching him.

Zack and Gloria pick out their pigs for the 4-H fair on Feburary 28th, and we brought them home on march 17th, they were so excited. On March 27 and 28th Bryan and I along with the kids build NEW pig pens, they turned out really awsome. I think the kids will really enjoy doing the fair again this year, they already been doing crafts for the craft section of the fair, if every thing works out we are going to stay up at the fair in the trailer.

Emily been her sweet little self and a big time daddy girl, she really has a hard time when daddy at work or even on drill weekend. Yesterday when we were building pens she would drag the wagon back and fourth from our house to the pig pen helping getting supplies or having the older kids give her a ride in it, as we were finished and taking all the tools home she was draging the wagon home my her self and sliped on the lane some how and scraped her cute litttle face up a little bit. Emily also thinks that my I-Pod his hers she plays games and watches movies alomost very day on it, she get mad at me when I have to take it from her to use it for my self.

Love the perkins Family

Ben's Bad day

Our Son Benjamin is in afternoon Kindergarten, today however his class was going to a musical put on by Altamont High School. we had told him he was going in early so he could go to a play. at noon as I was waiting for him to get off the bus my two older children pass by telling me how great a time they had. expecting Ben to feel the same I was somewhat surprised to see that he wasn't the exuberant child that his siblings had been. "how was the Play?" I asked.
"Terrible!" he replied pausing for a moment,"I had to sit still and listen the whole time, and not once did they let me play!"
In retrospect, I guess we should have defined "play" a little better.

here I go again

For those how have not yet heard I am getting deployed again. on our blog I am not allowed to say where or when, but if you hear the rumors they are true. as of yesterday the US and Iraqi governments came to a Security pact extending our time in Iraq for 3 more years (Ironically president elect Obama has stated that he will support the pact as ratified by the Iraqi congress so it looks as though their are few roadblocks to keep us from going.)
So, that being said I look forward to and I am greatful for the time I have to spend with my family during the holiday season.
